He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Bechard and Adelaide Drouillard; and his siblings-in-law, Margaret "Peg" Edwards and Robert McLoughlin. He is survived by: his spouse Phyllis McLoughlin; his children, Carol Ashton (late Rick), Lionel Bechard (Lori), Norman Bechard (Leana), Angeline Shaw, Jean-Paul Bechard and Janice Neron (Theiry); his siblings, Norma DeBolle (Ted), Dean Bechard (late Judy) and Lillian Bourdeau; and his siblings-in-law, Terry McLoughlin (Bonnie), Patricia Johanson, Norman "Joe" McLoughlin (Audrey) and Millie Smith (John). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.
