He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Susanne Ackerman; his children, Sarah James (Dimitri Nakassis), Hazel (Geoffrey Kumagai), Adam Ackerman and Russell Ackerman (Jill Strimas); his grandchildren, Tom of Violet, Griffin and Ava; and his siblings, Steven Bunce (Carmen), Linda (Ross Johnson) and Lisa (Sheldon Moore).
