She is survived by: her parents, Marg and Scott Seyler of Owen Sound; and her brothers, Eric and Ben.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made to Owen Sound OSHaRE, in Lauren's memory, a cause close to her heart.

“Lauren was a friend who shaped my childhood and teenage years. We started as nemesis in school at SVE, both competing for art contests but soon became great friends. We were together in the school yard every recess in MCS. By high school we could be found sitting in the hallways for lunch, making ridiculous plans for adventure and silliness. Together in music class and orchestra and quartet. Many fond memories that I always thought we would have time to revisit together. Sad to have lost touch.”
