He is survived by: his wife Yolanda of Kitchener-Waterloo; his child John-Michael (Emily) of Waterloo; his grandchildren, Scott of Waterloo, Sophia of Waterloo, Xavier of Waterloo, Sean of Waterloo and Seth of Waterloo; and his brother William (Marilyn) of Owen Sound.

He played many of the sports I did. We all looked up to him as a role model. Bill his older brother was my basketball coach from grade 10 through grade 13.
