He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Woods and Mary Wilson; his son Garry Woods; his sister Kathleen Weber; and also Audrey Woods.

He is survived by: his spouse Ruth Connolly Woods; his children, Carrie Woods of Kitchener, Kathy MacLeod (Bill) of Hamilton, Rosanne Woods (Roger Orde) of Kitchener and Leanne Paddon (Steve) of Owen Sound; his stepchildren, Michele Fritzsch (Tim) of Owen Sound and Greg Connolly (Lisa) of Innisfil; his grandchildren, Andrea (Chris), Keith (Laura), Danielle (Dave), Taylor (Joey), Matthew, James and Michael; his great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Jack; and his stepgrandchildren, Shelby, Devin and Drew.

If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Chapman House Hospice, Lee Manor, Day Away Program, or the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce as an expression of sympathy.
