He was predeceased by: his parents, David Grant and Anna Grant; his brothers, Andrew, David and Gordon Grant; and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Grant, Merle Grant and Carol Grant.

He is survived by: his spouse Ina Grant; his children, Karri Wells (Dan) and Garry Grant Jr. (Shelley); his grandchildren, Mathew Wells (Courtney), Danielle Wells (Jesse), Samantha Wells (Mike), Hunter Grant, Zoe, Landon and Raelyn Wells; his siblings, Ruth Martin of Owen Sound, Lorne Grant (Patti) of California and Kim Grant (Brenda) of Owen Sound; and his significant other Brandy.
