He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Abel (Tansley) and Harry Abel. He is survived by: his wife Judith Abel; his children, Catherine (Fraser Aylsworth) of Stratford, Ernie (Sherri) of Parkhead, Laurie (Clay Elmquist) of Victoria, B. C and Much; his grandchildren, Christopher (Haley), Derek, Kylie (Scott) and Brandon; his sisters, Joyce Laxton (Douglas) of Stoney Creek and Patricia Gaskell (Bert) of Hamilton; and his friends, Rob, Mike, Mark and Paul. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
