She was predeceased by: her parents, Alan Preston and Jean Preston; and her brothers, Ian and Noel. She is survived by: her husband Captain Grant Dawson; her children, Cheryl Dawson (Brad Hood), Jeffrey Dawson and Krista Bell (Brent); her grandchildren, David, Padraic, Matthew, Bethany, Lauren and Anna; her great grandchild Lily-Ann; and her brother David Preston (Claire).
