She was predeceased by: her parents, Eva Ruthig and Allan Wilhelm. She is survived by: her daughter Tamara Knechtel (New York); her sister Norma Dales (Frank Dales) of Cargill; and her grandchildren, Georgia and Ahmaya (Tariq Inman). She is also survived by 8 nieces and nephews.
An integral part of Doris' day to day was helping to care for and spend time with her middle sister Jean, who has been living with Alzheimer's disease for several years. Alzheimer's is a disease that Doris and her family believe with the right financial support and research can be cured.
