He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cunningham and Mary Jane Cunningham; his brothers, Gerald Cunningham (Winnie) and Tom Cunningham (Hester); and his brothers-in-law, Allan Cramm, Glen Miller, Bill Chappel and Lawrence Phillips.

He is survived by: his spouse Ruth Cunningham; his children, Krista McKee (Glenn) and Larry Cunningham (Kerry); his grandchildren, Stacey, Jennifer, Jamie, Peyton, Bryce, Dylan and Tyler; his great grandchildren, Emily, Finlay and Sophia; and his siblings, Mary Weir (Lorne), Bessie Phillips, Floss Miller and Marg Cramm. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
