We are sad to announce that on March 8, 2025, Christena Louise Dawson (Owen Sound, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband David Powell. She is survived by: her daughters, Shannon Powell and Carolyn Adams; her sons-in-law, Brock Beldham and Nick Adams; and her grandchildren, Dawson, Quinn and Rowan.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Brown Family Funeral Homes (1178 4th Ave W, Owen Sound, ON N4K4W5). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Alliance Church (440 7th Ave E, Owen Sound, ON N4K2X3).

“I was shocked and sad to learn of Christena's passing when Carolyn called me. Christena and I have been friends since the early 1980's. I spoke with her last on March 4th. Blessings and condolences to Shannon, Carolyn and their families and to all of the many friends Christena has cultivated over the years who will dearly miss her. Christena was a wonderful and true friend. As we both worked together at one time, I can say she was an excellent Therapist helping hundreds if not thousands.”
