He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lidija Matrosovs (Danilova) and Ioanikijs Matrosovs; his daughters, Jenny (Craig) and Andrea (Chris); his grandchildren, James (Shannon) and Anna (Adam); his brother Peter (Kathryn); and his nephews, Kevin and Kyle.
