He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor (Stearns); his parents, Norman McCormick and Florence McCormick; and his siblings, Elwood, Gordon and Shirley.

He is survived by: his children, Pam (Jody Watson) and Jeff (Joan); his grandchildren, Taylor (Chris Campbell), Riley, Josh and Adele; his great grandchildren, Max and Ellie; his friend Roy; and his niece Colleen.
