It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Whelan (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on December 17, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his child Glenn Whelan; his parents, Martin Whelan and Mary Ellen Whelan; and his siblings, Helen Heath and Gerald Whelan.

He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Whelan; his children, Gary Whelan (Angela DeCaria) and Glenna Whelan (Scott Lennon); his grandsons, Oliver (Marissa), Joshua, Gary Junior (Lindsay) and Drew (Vanessa); his sister Jean German; and his great grandchildren, Brianna, Sofia, Audrey and Chloe.

Even as Alzheimer's robbed him of his health, he always enjoyed visits with loved ones.
