He is survived by: his grandparents, Joseph Simpson and Margaret Simpson (Summers); his wife Rosemary (Vondette); his children, Karyn (Michael Patton) and William Scott; his brothers, Donald (Bonnie), Thomas (Susan), Edgar (Carol) and Joseph (Karen); his siblings-in-law, Terrance Vondette and Kathryn Ann Vondette; and his nieces and nephews, Lynda Steege (Brad), Ian, Mark, Thomas, Donna, Jane, Stephanie, Julie, Ryan and Tiffany.

A donation in honour of Bill would be appreciated by the family to The Ottawa Hospital Foundation - Dr. Rebecca Auer Cancer Research.
