With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William French (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on April 11, 2018 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his spouse Sylvia Embury; his children, Mary Ellen French (Shawn Cooper) of Cobourg, Cynthia Finlay (Ian) of Uxbridge, William (Pauline), Elgin and Pamela French of Ottawa; his siblings, Gordon Schaafsma (Frances) of Delta, Desmond Schaafsma (Linda) of Napanee, Howard Schaafsma (Ilona) of Delta and Ella Schaafsma (Allan) of Athens; his grandchildren, Brian, Claire, Meaghan, Michael, Emily, Morgan, David and Isaac; and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Inwood of Renfrew and Irene Leggett (John) of Ottawa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
