He was predeceased by: his siblings, James and Mary Therese Burke; and his son Bill (Nadine). He is survived by: his wife Doreen; his children, James (Valerie), John (Susan), Mark (Margaret), Robert (Linda) and Mary Beth; and his grandchildren, Shamiah, Aaron, Sean, Brianna, Devon, Jason, Eric, Peter, Kathleen, Daniel, Jacqueline and Tierney. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

Donations in memory of Vin may be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute or the Canadian Cancer Society.
