He is survived by: his wife Tara Stapledon; his parents, Jim Stapledon and Judy Stapledon; his sister Shannon Hall (Steve); his sisters-in-law, Maura Dillon (Paul), Ann Greenwood (Dave) and Sharon Smith (Keith); his nephews, Kane Prud'Homme, Mitchell, Drew Greenwood, Sean and Ian Dillon; and his niece Aurora Smith.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to the Ottawa Heart Institute.
