He was predeceased by: his father Robert Hiemstra. He is survived by: his mother Thérèse "Terri" Dueck (Russell) of Arnprior; his siblings, Kyle Hiemstra and Shannon Hiemstra of Ottawa; his grandparents, Gilbert and Grace Hiemstra of Ottawa; and his close friend Fiona Rowan. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
