He is survived by: his parents, Vincent LaGroix and Teresa LaGroix (Kennedy); his brother Brian; his daughter Amber; his grandchildren, Koda and Ryleigh; his siblings, Dan (Eileen), Patty MacDonald (Harold), Sheila and Sharon; and his cousin Pat. He is also survived by extended family, friends.
In lieu of flowers or other gifts, his daughter asks that donations be made in his memory to Somerset West Community Health Centre, where he was fondly referred to as "the mayor".
