“I note with great sadness the passing of my good friend, Steve Burgess, late C/Sgt, who joined the Regiment (Candian Grenadier Guards) the same time as me, in 1969/70. We served together through the ranks as Guardsmen. through to C/Sgts. He virtually single handed kept the Regimental Association alive via the Ottawa Chapter for many decades. My sincere condolences to Bev and his family. He was a great man and a great soldier.”
