It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Frances Anne Pihlainen (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on July 4, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, Rick (Genevieve), Mike, Dan (Carol) and Sue (Val); her grandchildren, Samantha (Chris), Desiree, Drew (Rebecca), Devin (Karen), Matti (Clare), Kayla, Emma and Turner; her great grandchildren, William, Johnathan, Lillian, Benjamin, Joan, Aito, Piet, Walter and George; her sister Diane Edwards; her niece Judy Edwards; her great-nephews, Jay, Jonny and Darren; and her husband John Aito.
