With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Anne Green (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on October 23, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Esther Hobbs; her brother Bordie Hobbs; and her son Tom Green. She is survived by: her daughters, Judy, Sandra Anderson (Duncan), Marjorie McCorriston (Darin) and Diana Cashman (Gary); her daughter-in-law Ann Green; her grandchildren, Matthew (Sam), Jenna (Josh), Jayme, Jessie (Jesse), Clinton (Nicole), Rebecca and Abby; and her great grandchild West.

We would like to thank the staff at Granite Ridge Retirement Home for their loving care of our mom and all the compassion they showed to her as well as her family In memory of Shirley please consider donations to the Salvation Army and The Ottawa Humane Society.

“It was a great pleasure getting to know Shirley this summer at Granite Ridge. My mom, Janice Davison, and I had some lovely, meaningful visits with Shirley. It was wonderful to see two old friends getting reacquainted. Shirley would light up when we came in to see her and she was so delighted to see her old friend from Ottawa South. Although my mom is struggling with memory loss, I know deep down she remembered Shirley. It sounds like they had many fun adventures together. My condolences... Ann”
