She was predeceased by: her significant other George Carl Bretzlaff; her children, Brian (Arlene), Bruce (Rocio) and Colleen (Peter Marshall); her grandchildren, Philip (Danika), Paul (Sarah), David (Emily), Carla (Patrick), Alex (Tiarra) and Bryan (Kathy); her great grandchildren, William, Ashleigh, Henry, Jordan, Victoria and Arturo; her parents, William Thoms and Marie Yach; and her sister Vera Tubman. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
