With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ross Wainwright Cleary (Ottawa, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 24, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Wainwright Cleary and Evelyn Maud. He is survived by: his children, Alison (Rick), David (Suwanna), Peter (Jennifer) and James (Anne); his grandchildren, Jimmy, Martine and Ross; his wife Sally; his sister Janet Deep; and his brother-in-law Geoffrey Broadhurst.

I had thoroughly enjoyed those drives together with his observations on life, on Ottawa as it had been, on Gowlings as it too had been, on his Juniors (his children), and on politics. He certainly loved your cottage life and the annual peaking of the colour trips. I feel privileged to have had that time with him. With heartfelt condolences, Anne Mundy-Markell”
