He was predeceased by: his spouse Ruth Alguire. He is survived by: his children, Donald Alguire (Diane) of Burnstown, Ronald Alguire (Brenda) of Lunenburg, Doreen Jackson (Vic) of Pembroke, Reg Alguire (Joyce) of Ingleside, Kendal Alguire (Brenda) of Lunenburg and Carol Alguire of Ottawa; and his sibling Carrie Taggart of Ottawa. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
