He was predeceased by: his parents, James and Margaret; his siblings, Tommy, Jim and Maureen O'Hara; and his son-in-law Neil Pritchard.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patsy" Merry; his children, Lynn and Ron "Sam" (Nicole); his grandchildren, Andrew Hurst (Kylie), Danny Hurst (Heather), Rebecca, Ashley and Kellen; and his great grandchildren, Mae, Duncan, Oliver, Vivienne and Effy Hurst.
