He was predeceased by: his former wife Ada Lapierre. He is survived by: his wife Roberta Miller; his children, Grant (Kate) and Suzanne (Nathan); his stepdaughters, Linda Reese (Terry) and Donna Nelson (Gerd Zatek); and his siblings, Colleen Marquardt (Wayne) and Gordon Edmonds (Pauline).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ottawa Heart Institute or the Kidney Foundation.
