He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henri Anctil and Simone Roy; his wife Suzanne Trempe; his sons, Paul, Shawn and Phil; his grandchildren, Élodie, Félix, Maya and Olivier; and his siblings, Robert, Ghislaine and Jacquie. He was also cherished by the many friends, cousins, nieces, nephews.

Should anyone wish to offer donations, the family asks that they be made in Roland's memory to the Perley Rideau Health Foundation, who provided him with exceptional care in his final months.
