He was predeceased by: his daughter Andrea (Jeff Mendelsohn); and his parents, Josef Papiernik and Maria Papiernik. He is survived by: his wife Frances; his daughters, Vanessa and Maria (Eric Saulis); and his sibling Bogdan (Françoise Bonin). He is also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
