Peter Sourges Obituary

Panagioti Sourges Passed peacefully at his home at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Afroditi, father to Jim (Shelley), Andre (Kirsty) and Louis (Michelle) and grandfather to Peter, Alexia, Michael, Adam, Jane, William and Samuel. Survived by his sister Lily and his brothers, Nick and Angelo. Also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Panagioti immigrated to Canada in 1955. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to acquire Dinty Moore Restaurant in 1962, a landmark in Aylmer and still a thriving business today, a testament to Panagioti's hard work, persistence and dedication. Many thanks to the palliative care team who helped Panagioti in his final days.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa) on Thursday, August 17 from 5 - 8 p.m. with Trisagion prayers at 7:30 p.m., and on Friday, August 18 at the Greek Orthodox Church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Kimissis "Dormition" of the Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church (1315 Prince of Wales Drive) on Friday, August 18 at 11:00 a.m.
