He was predeceased by: his parents, Agnes Melanson and Joseph Howard Melanson; and his wife Deborah Melanson. He is survived by: his children, Mark, John (Karen), Bryan and Elena; his grandchildren, Carlin, Ryllan, Adele, Reid, Keaton, Nathan and Sara; his brother Barry; and his nephew Kevin.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & Mc (1200 Ogilvie Rd, Ottawa, ON K1J8V1). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Almonte General Hospital (https://almontehospitalfoundation.com) would be appreciated by the family.
