He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Coleman and Elva Coleman; his sisters, Fay Kaustinen (Oskar), Patsy Peden, Betty Timms (Armand) and Gwen Coleman; and his brother-in-law Robert Coleman.

He is survived by: his wife Jean; his child Vicki McNicoll (Dan); and his siblings-in-law, Freida Coleman (Wayne) and Jim Peden. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
