It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Pearl Hlavacek (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away at the age of 89, on February 9, 2021. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reinhard Mallon and Violet Mallon; and her brothers, Douglas, Andy and Stanley.
She is survived by: her husband Paul Hlavacek; her children, Barry (Marie-Louise), Debbie, Neale (late Sue Brown), David and Gwen (Peter); her grandchildren, Chris (Stacey), Justin, Jack, Alanna, Samantha and Sylvie (Mike); her great grandchildren, Matteo, Liam and Olivia; her godson Brent Easey; and her close friend Eleanor McLeod (Roy). She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
In light of COVID-19 restrictions a private service will be held at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home and Chapel in Ottawa at a later date.
If so desired, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Arthritis Society as a tribute to Pearl's many years of canvassing for both.
