He was predeceased by: his parents, Mariamma Varughese and Palamootil Koshy Varughese. He is survived by: his wife Jacinta; his children, Nobel (Nisha) and Susan (Arun); his grandchildren, Koshy, Evey, Yasmeen, Alana and Demetri; his sisters, Ammini and Thankamma (Thankachen); and his siblings-in-law, Moncey, Mercy (Thomas), Elsa (Raju), Pushpa (Shaji) and Royce (Beena). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and/or, in keeping with what Paul's life symbolized, extending a helping hand to those in need.

Who knew, when on Sunday we parted from the picnic laughing and joking and reminiscing our past 50 years together. We are going to miss Baby and the only consolation is remembering all the good life we all had together. We have so much shared memory that we can look back and console ourselves but we cannot replace him. May his soul rest in peace.”
