We are sad to announce that on May 9, 2022, at the age of 92, Paul James Vorobej of Ottawa, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Eleonora Vorobej; his children, Nadya (Rick), Paul, Anndrea (Rick) and Nicholas (Jennie); and his grandchildren, Nicholas (Ann), Anya, Tasha, Josh (Sarah), Katya (Josh), Paul, James, Quinn and Petra.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church, an organization that Jimmy felt strongly about.

“Uncle Jimmy nurtured my love of the outdoors. Working with him up at the farm in my younger days helped me realize that even though stringing barbed wire was a hard job, the fact that it was happening out in the bush actually made it enjoyable, and at times fun. He was always supportive, fair minded, but was also one to redirect when it became necessary. He loved the farm, the lake and the outdoors. That is where he was the most relaxed. I know he will be there in spirit finding work to do. :)”
