He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Jason and Rachel (Jim Teevan); his grandchildren, Ciaran and Aidan; his siblings, Brian (Pauleen Fath) and Margie (Jim Grittner); his nephew Colin Grittner (Stephanie O'Neill); and his close friend Elaine Fisher.
