He was predeceased by: his grandchildren, Mark Taggart, Alexandra Taggart (Gordon Cudney), Adam Taggart (Amanda Taggart), Matthew Baird (Lindsay Biggar) and Anna Baird (Andrew Pal); and his parents, David Baird and Mary Baird (Lewis).
He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his children, Vicki Taggart (Tom) of Ottawa and Peter (Tessa) of Vancouver; and also, Mexico, Barbados, Hawaii and Bermuda.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Queensway-Carleton Hospital Foundation, Cardiac Pulmonary Department in Norman's name.
