He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernesto Frate and Sarafina Marotta; and his siblings, Remo "Mario" (Lucia) and Maria "Orienta" (Liberato). He is survived by: his wife Anna Frate (Ianiro); his siblings, Ermelinda (Damiano) and Valentino (Graziella); his children, Gabriella (Daniel), Peter (Antonella), Patrizia (John), Enzo (Karen) and Daniele (Andrea); his grandchildren, Nicolas, Michael (Amanda), Patrick (Alexandra), Bryan (Courtney), Sarah, Bobby, Madison, Eden, Bianca and Joey; and his great grandchildren, Kolton, Scarlett and Olivia.
