She was predeceased by: her parents, Meriels Simpson and George Simpson (Bensonton); and her siblings, Linda Atkinson, Olive Deans, Ethel Nembhard, Dadzy Tucker, Cressie Nembhard, Princess Allen, Velma Walker and Sutcliffe Simpson.

She is survived by: her husband Nerval Mitchell; her daughters, Sandra Simmons, Janice Mitchell and Nadine Rowe (Rupert); her grandchildren, Jalen, Miriam, Jordan, Julian, Ethan, Zaria and Zephaniah; and her sisters, Letna Simpson-Martin and Barbara Simpson-Campbell.
