It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Roland Joseph Riopel (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on March 18, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rita and Ken; and his sisters, Armande (Roger), Micheline (Aurel) and Rita (Wayne).

He is survived by: his siblings, Carol (Don) and Peter. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

We had the most wonderful chats, particularly of travelling and my favorite city, Montreal. A genuinely kind, pleasant, articulate gentleman , who never stopped believing, hoping, and smiling at the thought that one day, he would walk out of our facility and begin a fresh new life.
