He was predeceased by: his parents, Daundage Daniel Fernando and Gallage Adelin Fernando. He is survived by: his wife Indrani Fernando; his son Roy Fernando of Ottawa; and his sisters, Gertrude Lakshmi Fernando of Vancouver, BC and Daundage Volga Chithrawali Karunadasa (Chithra) of Sri Lanka.
