He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ann of Shawville, QC; his son Randall Thompson (Sabine) of Vernon, ON; his brothers, Jim (late Ethel), Lester (late Joanne) and Winston (late Sylvia); and his sisters-in-law, Judy Thompson (late Raymond) of Rupert, QC and Joan (late Kenny) of Burnaby, BC..
