He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucien Périard and Rita Lebeau; and his sister Paulette. He is survived by: his wife Claire Vézina; his sons, Karl (Mandi) and Jean-Charles; his grandchildren, Alyssa and Nicholas; and his siblings, Bernard and Lise. He is also survived by his brothers – in – law and sisters- in -law as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
