With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Katharyn Powers of Ottawa, Ontario, who passed away on April 9, 2023 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Katharyn Powers to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmund Ashton Powers and Mary Belle Powers; her siblings, Campbell, Barney, Peter and Anne; and her caregiver Dr. Wilbert Keon.
She is survived by: her sister Geneva Thiele (Bonnie) of Vancouver, B. C.; and her aunt Mary. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Prior to the Pandemic she remained actively involved in her retired nurses' association.
