She was predeceased by: her husband Wesley M. Nicol; her parents, Hugh Robertson and Beatrice Robertson; her sister Anne Christie; and her nephew Bill Christie.

She is survived by: her extended family Mary; her children, Bruce (Karen), Heather (Martin), Ian (Wendy) and Janet (Peter); her grandchildren, Rosanna (Nick), Alex (Nada), Oliver and Marielle Nicol; her children, David, Nicola Protetch, Mark, Carolyn, Meredith Nicol, Emmet Robins, Myles and Austin Wall; her great grandchild Josephine Brown; her sister Joan Robertson; her niece Kathie Brown; and her brother David (late Monica).
