It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Elizabeth (Maynard) McKenzie (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on June 4, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Mary Elizabeth may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mary Elizabeth touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Alexander McKenzie; her parents, Laurence Maynard and Annie Maynard of North Yorkshire, England.; and her brother William Maynard (Janet) of Lancaster, England.. She is survived by: her children, David (Janet) of New York City and Ruth (Chris) of San Francisco; and her grandchild Lachlan. She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.
