Mary Doreen Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Doreen in Ottawa, Ontario, born in Liverpool, North West, who passed away on July 10, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her son John Edward Hall; her daughter-in-law Francine Beaudin; her grandchildren, Gabrielle and Daniel; her daughter Marion Jean Hall; her grandson John Sloat; her sister Josephine Thomas; her nieces and nephews, Andrea (Danny Little), Yvonne (Lester Davies), Paul Claassen (Debby), Margaret Williams, Brian Biglands (Barbara) and Robert Hall; her husband William Hall; her sister Eileen Claassen; her son-in-law Tom Sloat; and her parents, John Scanlon and Sarah Scanlon.

After 96 years of good health and independence Doreen suffered a spontaneous fracture of her right femur in June 2020 which began a difficult period of recovery and rehabilitation made much more frustrating because of COVID quarantines and isolation due to restrictions on visitors.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Montfort Hospital or to Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital in Ottawa.
