She was predeceased by: her parents, Sadie MacDonald and Russell MacDonald; her husband Frederick Compton of Cape Breton; and her brother Frank Compton. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Chamberlain (Charles Chamberlain) of Carp, Heather Compton (Allan Aucoin) of Cape Breton and Allan Compton; her grandchildren, Derek Graham of Calgary and Kelly Graham of Calgary; her great grandchildren, Emily, Joshua Graham, Autumn Stevenson of Ottawa and Leo Bouckhout of Calgary; her sisters-in-law, Irene Flemming, Helen MacLeod and Beverly Williams; and her siblings, Margaret Rossiter, Rose Kent and Jack.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tubman Funeral Homes - Garden Chapel (3440 Richmond Rd, Nepean, ON K2H8H7). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
