With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marian Mayer (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on March 24, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Omer Mayer of Noelville and Helene Mayer (Meloche) of McGregor Ontario; her significant other Stephen Michell; her siblings, Anita, Maurice and Statton; her children, Joel (Fran), Stephen, Kendra (Michael), Alex (Elizabeth), Samantha (Narissa) and Alexandra (Brian); her sister Irene (Anita); and her grandchildren, Julia, Emma, Laura, Eryn, Eva, James, Gavin, Saturn, Liam, Henry and Andrew.

Donations to the ALS Society of Canada in Marian's name are requested in lieu of flowers.

“Dear Steve and family. We are so sorry to hear that Marian has passed away. She had wonderful support from you and her family. ALS is a cruel disease. We will remember Marian as a quiet person of great patience and inner calm. She was a hard worker and her many decorating projects are a testament to that. Marian handled her professional responsibilities in challenging classrooms with a lot of common sense. We admired her greatly. We have fond memories of Las Vegas. Hugs, Pat and John Turner”
